Works well, but took a support call to get it installed. I use it to schedule a higher temp during the afternoon when power is less expensive so it doesn't run in the evening when power costs twice as much -- this works though there was a little fussing with the times to get them entered. My only requests: the app should show the actual water temperature, and the history should show the kWh used by the resistance elements (if they are used) differentiated from the kWh used by the heat pump.

The water heater is for the most part great, and I save about $15-$20 a month in gas. The only negative is the schedule/app. I'm not sure if hardware or software but it loses the schedule, gets stuck, or just stops following it. It is not clear how to reset it. I schedule mine to run around the electricity rates, but now keep the temperature at least 120 in case it stops following the schedule when we shower.

it does a poor job of capturing the status of the water heater. The temperature setting is displayed, but not the actual temperature. The power usage doesn't seem to match what was advertised. Have yet to see any real savings. We are not heavy users of hot water. It appears the heating element is running more than expected and the app doesn't provide an option to keep it off or track it usage.
