So far the app works as intended for the most part. I believe it has such a low rating because people don't realize it's limitations and that it has to be a dedicated wifi signal to pair the app on your phone with the dashcam. Also, once you turn off your vehicle or close the app, the wifi turns off. You can't have your Bluetooth paired with anything else, including Android Auto, which is really unfortunate.

Not intuitive at all. Before you get started, turn off auto connect on all other WiFis that are nearby that you can connect to. Then, follow the app steps for connecting. When you click on the dash cam from the WiFi selection, you need to select connect always, and then you have to hit the back arrow to go back to the app to finish connecting it. Once connected to it, you should be all set. You must manually toggle all WiFi auto connects on and off when using the app moving forward though.

Toyota, I just spent over $600 on your dash cam & installation, and your app is horrible, just like all the other users have reported. The camera disconnects you from the app after a few minutes of use. Also, why are you only able to use the app when you're in the vehicle connected to Bluetooth? When I download videos from the camera to my android phone, there are no apps in the Google playstore that can play them. Update your app & let me know how to view videos when not connected to camera.
